IT Operations

The IT Operations service is focussed on IT availability, production performance and SLAs.

This service is generally used by two distinct types of client. The first type is where the production systems are viewed as unstable and prone to failure whereas the second is more interested in risk management, such as capacity planning, Disaster Recovery and Supplier SLAs.

Often this service will look at monitoring and automatic alerting, particularly where the production systems need the ability to 'self-heal' following a failure. Such functionality is applied across the both the application software and the underlying IT infrastructure.

Other aspects that are often important are the ITIL Framework, especially Change Management - after all, there is a reason why production systems are at their most stable during a change freeze!

Incident management and Knowledge Bases are both significant areas of expertise in this practice and are currently going through a period of sustained growth.

The Lead Consultant will have commercial relationships with all of the major outsourcing and management software vendors and can assist in brokering a deal on behalf of the client (if so requested) or alternatively, provide an introduction.
